Curriculum Innovation Committee to Train the Talents in Response to the Needs of Industries

  • Operate the Curriculum Innovation Committee with more representatives from the industries
Composition
  • 10 experts from the participating companies and five faculty members from the SW Convergence College
Plan for Operation
  • The experts from the participating companies are to present the problems from the field, along with the requirements from the clients in the industries.
  • Establish or improve the curriculums focusing on the actual cases and field practices of problem-solving types in order to accommodate the changes in the industries.
  • A feed-back system with strengthened feedbacks from the industries is to be established.
  • Regular meeting in each quarter(Jan., Apr., Jul., Nov.)

Offering more choices to the students with the customers in the center; Operate a Start-up Specialized Course

  • 48 credits required for the basic major, with 24 more credits for advance majors
    • Introduction of a selective Accumulate education system

Wide-spread participation by industries in all field of SW development

  • Participation by specialized companies from the fields which are needed in the development of SW (Cloud-based Pro-zone of Tmax)
  • Select the issues in the local community in the local community; Proceed with the TMP (industrial-academic cooperation projects)

Operation of the TMP Lab, a Space of Convergence between the Industries and Colleges

  • Open for 24 hours
  • Provides a space for work available 24/7 for the students in the TU-SW Honors Club to proceed with the industrial-academic cooperation programs.
  • Operate as the basecamp for job-seeking and Start-ups

Participation by the Leading Local Companies And the Industrial Associations

  • Reflect demands for the skills to develop SW in the local industry; joint SW education; industrial-academic cooperation
  • Local authorities and public agencies: Software value proliferation in cooperation with City of Busan and Busan Office of Education

Operation of the SST(Seed, Stem, Tree) model; Tree commercialization

  • A systematic management scheme based on the structure of Identification of an idea (Seed) → Idea survival (Stem) → Commercialization of the idea (Tree)
  • Seed: identify 40 ideas (“Introduction to Problem Solving through SW”, which is a required liberal art course)
  • Stem: Narrow down the 40 ideas to 10 through the T-FUN center (to be utilized as the start-up idea)
  • Tree: Select at least one item for commercialization (to be executed by TMP+); find a job in the relevant business
  • Start-up support in cooperation with the domestic incubators and Xn Tree (overseas
